What is a digital gift card? How different is it from a physical gift card?
With Fluz, you are purchasing a traditional merchant gift card in digital format, instead of a physical card form.
For example, if you purchase CVS gift card from Fluz, it is not a Fluz gift card, it is an actual CVS gift card that Fluz is issuing you. This means it can be redeemed anywhere a CVS gift card can. The only difference with digital format gift cards is the barcode, gift card number, and pin (if applicable) are stored on your Fluz mobile app instead of a physical card.
It is important to make the distinction between physical and digital gift cards because when you are paying in the store, some stores have a different redemption process for physical vs. digital gift cards. Therefore, remember to tell the cashiers that you are using a digital gift card.
Where can I use the gift cards I purchased on Fluz?
You can use the gift cards in-store and online at many of your favorite national retailers. Check the app to see the latest selection of retailers and where you can use their gift cards.
To see all of the participating Fluz retailers, start from the home screen in the Fluz App, and navigate to the DISCOVER tab (magnifying glass icon) at the bottom navigation bar. There you can search for our partnered merchants and you can also select the merchant categories like dining, fashion, or entertainment.
Make sure you review the retailer’s Terms and Conditions for possible usage restrictions. Please note that most of the gift cards sold through the Fluz App are only valid within the U.S.
How to buy a gift card on Fluz?
Ready to spend and earn at the same time? Follow the steps below
Open the Fluz App, and input the store you want to shop at in the "search" box.
Enter the gift card amount. You may enter an exact amount or you may enter a bigger amount and use up the gift card balance over time. For some merchants, you can only purchase a fixed amount.
Select your funding source or the payment method. We always recommend linking your ACH as a payment method as it gives you the highest cashback rate.
Tap on Review and Confirm.
Enter your four (4) digit security passcode or use Face/Touch ID.
Once the purchase is completed, your funding source will be charged, you will earn your cashback immediately and your gift card details will appear.
Note: Fluz does not work retroactively or by uploading receipts.
If you do not show your barcode for the cashier to scan, and if you pay with cash/credit card, your credit card will be charged again. You are not paying with the gift card that you just bought from Fluz.
How do I pay using digital gift cards?
Step 1: Before you pay, open Fluz, select your store and enter your total after taxes and/or tips.
Note: In most cases, you can enter the exact amount of your total purchase. In certain cases, you'll be asked to select from a list of values. Pick the amount closest to your total.
Step 2: Add or select your preferred payment method. We'll charge this to create a digital gift card to pay with.
Once you review and confirm your purchase, we'll give you instant cashback and create a gift card for you to pay with at your store.
Step 3: Use your digital gift card to pay online or in-store.
To pay in-store, tell the cashier you are paying with a gift card and present the barcode. To pay online, copy and paste the gift card number/PIN at checkout.
Quick tips
Add a payment method prior to shopping. It will make your experience smoother.
Make sure the gift card is redeemable in-store or online, depending on how you are shopping.
If in-store, tell the cashier you are paying with an official digital gift card from their store.
How to use the gift cards in-store?
Most of our partner merchants allow you to use gift cards in their physical stores. It's as easy as opening your Fluz app and showing the code during checkout!
Access the gift card you want to use.
Ask the cashier to scan the barcode on your phone. The cashier can also manually enter the barcode number and the pin instead. Remember to mention that it is a digital gift card.
Tip: if scanning the barcode doesn't work, make sure your screen is bright and clean.
Do my gift cards expire?
The gift cards typically won't expire after a year, some do not expire so you can certainly use them next time. However, it's best to check with the merchant to be sure of how long.
Visa prepaid cards expire within six (6 months of purchase).
Do I need to use up the gift card balance all at once?
No. You do not have to consume the whole amount in one purchase. You can use them over time. However, make sure they are not expired.
Can I use more than one gift card per transaction?
Typically, yes, you can use multiple gift cards per transaction. However, it is best to check with the store on the exact limit.
You can also pay with cash/credit card if you your gift card doesn't cover the whole amount. Better yet, buy another gift card from Fluz to maximize on cashback.
How can I check my gift card balance?
You can simply do a google search on that store's gift card balance checker. Enter the card number and pin found on the Fluz App.
Some merchants like Amazon, Uber, Spotify, etc. require you to log in to your account to redeem or check the gift card balance.

Can I get a refund?
As stated before you make a purchase, gift cards are non-refundable. However, for issues, please contact Fluz at +1 646-760-7479 for assistance. If you are eligible for a refund, it may be subject to a 10-30% restocking fee.
