Gift cards you buy on Fluz are official gift cards issued by the merchant. The merchant runs the card, so how you redeem it and where you can use it follow that merchant's rules. Here's how to use your gift card, and what to do if it won't go through.
How to use your gift card
Open the gift card from My Gift Cards in the Fluz app, or from Gift Cards on the Fluz website. What you see tells you how to use it:
If your card has a barcode, you can use it in store. Tell the cashier you're paying with a digital gift card and let them scan the barcode from your screen.
If your card has no barcode, use it online. Enter the gift card number and PIN at checkout on the merchant's website.
If the merchant has its own app or account, you may be able to add the gift card there and spend it from your balance, online or in store.
Keep your gift card details somewhere handy, like in Fluz or the merchant's app, so you have them ready at checkout. Most gift cards sold on Fluz can only be used in the United States.
If your gift card isn't working
Re-enter the details carefully. Copy the gift card number and PIN from Fluz rather than typing them. Remove any spaces or dashes, and make sure the number and PIN are in the right fields. If your card has no PIN, leave the PIN field blank.
Check where you're using it. Some cards only work online, or only in store. Some merchants ask you to add the card to your account first, or to redeem it on a separate gift card page rather than at checkout.
Check what you're buying. Some merchants don't accept gift cards for certain products, services, or third-party sellers.
In store, try manual entry. Turn your screen brightness up so the barcode scans. If it still won't scan, the cashier can enter the gift card number and PIN by hand.
Wait before trying again. Some merchants temporarily block a card after several unsuccessful attempts. If you've tried a few times, wait a while before your next attempt.

Under How to check your balance, use the merchant's balance checker to confirm your card is active and see how much is on it.
If the page has Usage instructions, follow the merchant's steps for using the card online or in store.
Select Website at the top right to go to the merchant's official site. Look for their gift card FAQ, terms, or help page.
If you're still stuck, contact the merchant's customer support. The merchant can see your card directly and confirm whether it's active, how much is on it, and why it isn't going through.
What an error usually means
An error at checkout doesn't mean your gift card or its value is gone. It usually means a detail was entered differently from how the merchant expects, or the card is being used somewhere it isn't accepted. If the merchant's balance checker shows your balance, the value is still on the card.
When checking a balance outside Fluz, use the merchant's official website. Unofficial balance-check sites can be unsafe. Keep your gift card number and PIN private.
Contacting Fluz support
If the merchant can't resolve it, contact Fluz support and include:
The merchant name
The purchase ID from your gift card purchase
The last 4 digits of the gift card number (never send the full number or PIN)
Where you tried to use it (online or in store, and the website or store location)
A screenshot of the error message, and roughly when it happened
What the merchant told you, and any case number they gave you
