Security Measures
Here at Fluz, we use a number of high-level measures to protect your account, ensuring your experience with us is safe and secure.
Here are some of those security measures:
Bank-Level Security
Fluz uses two-factor authentication, vaulted data storage, and industry-leading encryption protocol to protect our members. We also ensure any exchanged data is aliased to protect against interception.
256-bit Encryption
AES-256 encryption is the strongest encryption standard, with a key length of 256 bits, making it practically unbreakable by brute force attacks. Fluz deploys 256-bit encryption as an end-to-end standard.
PCI Compliant
All Fluz app solutions follow rigorous PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance standards to your customer's credit card data is fully protected from various forms of cyber theft.
How to keep your Fluz Account Secure
Beyond the security measures mentioned above, we apply to every Fluz account, here are some ways you can proactively protect your account:
Secure your 4-digit Passcode
We know you already keep your phone safe and secure. Fluz adds a second layer of protection by requiring you to input a 4-digit code before you view your gift card information and before you make a purchase.
Strengthen your Password
One of the most important things you can do is use a strong password for your Fluz account. We suggest using a phrase that’s easy for you to remember or words that are not related to any of your personal information. The goal is to make this unique and hard for others to guess. You can also use a password manager to create and store strong passwords as well.
A strong password:
Contains uppercase, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols, such as ./@#! %():
Is at least 10 characters long.
Doesn't contain memorable keyboard paths.
Doesn't have your personal information.
Is unique for each account you have.
Never share your password (not even to your friends or family!). If you’ve shared your Fluz credentials with anyone else or if you use the same password for different accounts, please change your password immediately.
Learn how to identify scams
Anyone can be a victim of scammers. It's best to understand that scammers can reach out to any account, and learning how to identify and avoid scams can help you safeguard your information.
Phishing is a form of cybercrime. It is a way scammers attempt to obtain sensitive information from you, such as your username and password, account information, or Social Security number. Phishing attacks often start with an email, phone call, or text message by someone posing to be someone else or a legitimate institution. Once you're contacted, you may be lead to enter your username and password on an illegitimate site that imitates the real one, to disclose personal information over the phone, or to click on a bad link in an email or a text message that results in the scammer gaining access to your information. This information can then be used to gain access to important accounts such as your email, bank, or other accounts, and can result in identity theft and financial loss.
Keep in mind, Fluz Support will never do the following:
Ask you to send money through different apps such as CashApp or WhatsApp or via text messages
Ask you for your account password or your 4 digit passcode
Request that you download remote desktop access software
