When using a Fluz virtual card, you are typically charged the final purchase amount with cashback applied.
However, for certain purchases where the final amount isn't known immediately — like those involving tips, shipping, or usage-based charges — an estimated amount is authorized and temporarily drawn from your account until the merchant submits the final total.
These transactions include:
Restaurants, barber shops, and places where tipping is an expected or anticipated component of the transaction.
Gas stations, where the final amount of gas that is pumped isn’t known until the transaction is complete.
Multi-vendor purchases, such as orders from Amazon.com, where different items may come from different vendors. Learn more.
In instances where the full, estimated amount is not required to complete the transaction, Fluz will issue a refund for the difference once the authorization expires.
