How to send money to your Virtual Account Number

Send money to VAN, Virtual Account Number, ACH transfer, domestic wire, fund spend account

Written by Rachael Crews

Your Virtual Account Number works like a regular U.S. bank account number. Send money to it from your bank by ACH or domestic wire, and it lands directly in your spend account. You don't need to add a memo or email us a confirmation.

Account number is listed under the spend account name when viewing the account details

Before you start

  • Your spend account needs a Virtual Account Number. If you don't see View account details on the web platform, your account isn't part of the rollout yet.

  • Only domestic U.S. transfers are supported. Instant payments such as RTP and FedNow aren't supported.

Sending money

  1. Get your account details. Copy your routing number, account number and account holder name. See Finding your Virtual Account Number and routing number. For a wire, use the details on your Domestic transfer details document.

  2. Open your bank's transfer screen. Log in to your bank and add a new external account or payee.

  3. Enter your Fluz details. Enter the routing number, account number, account type and account holder name exactly as shown in Fluz. The bank name is Austin Capital Bank.

  4. Choose ACH or wire. An ACH transfer usually takes 1–2 business days. A wire usually arrives the same day, but the bank may hold it for a few hours to review it.

  5. Send and keep your confirmation. Save the confirmation in case you need to contact us.

When your money arrives

A direct deposit or standard bank transfer sent to a Virtual Account Number is available as soon as Fluz receives the funds. A short processing hold on an ACH deposit before the money becomes spendable is normal, and does not mean the transfer is stuck. If you do not see your deposit in Fluz after 2 business days, contact us.

Keep your details safe

Share your account and routing number only with people and companies you trust. Don't post them publicly.

Still stuck?

If the money isn't in your spend account after 2 business days, contact us with:

  • the spend account nickname and the last four digits of the account number

  • the amount and the date you sent it

  • whether you sent an ACH transfer or a wire

  • the name of the sending bank

  • a screenshot of the transfer confirmation
