What is a Virtual Account Number?
A Virtual Account Number is an account number and routing number attached to your Fluz spend account. You can give those details to anyone who needs to send you money: an employer setting up direct deposit, a client paying an invoice, or your own bank when you want to move funds into Fluz.
Money sent to your Virtual Account Number lands in that spend account's balance, so it's ready to use for Virtual Cards and gift cards. You don't need to route it through an outside bank first.
Which bank holds the account?
Your Virtual Account Number is issued by Austin Capital Bank. The routing number belongs to Austin Capital Bank, and the account number is unique to your spend account.
What can I use it for?
Virtual Account Numbers can currently be used to receive money. They cannot be used to send money out or to authorize an outside company to pull money from Fluz at this time.
Virtual Account Numbers can | Virtual Account Numbers cannot |
Receive direct deposit from an employer or payroll provider | Pay a credit card, rent, utility, or subscription bill |

Receive an incoming wire transfer | Be linked with a platform or app to pull funds |

If you give your Virtual Account Number details to a biller, the payment request will be declined.
Who has a Virtual Account Number?
Virtual Account Numbers are being rolled out gradually and aren't on every Fluz account yet. They're available on eligible spend accounts, and you'll see the option to view your account details when your spend account has one.
If you don't see it, your spend account isn't part of the rollout yet. Contact us if you have questions and we'll look into it for you.
Where do I find it?
Virtual Account Numbers are available in the Fluz web platform. They are not shown in the mobile app.
For the steps, see Finding your Virtual Account Number and routing number.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Virtual Account Numbers do I get?
If you have more than one spend account, each eligible account has its own numbers.
If your spend account has more than one Virtual Account Number, one will be the primary account number, and will be the number used on your account documents.
How long does a deposit take to arrive?
It depends on how the money was sent. A direct deposit or standard bank transfer sent by ACH is typically available within 2 business days. Wires and instant payments sent over RTP or FedNow post to your balance as soon as we receive them, with no hold.
A short hold on an ACH deposit before the money becomes spendable is normal, and does not mean the transfer is stuck. If an ACH deposit still isn't spendable after 2 business days, contact us.
Are there limits on how much I can receive?
No. There's no minimum or maximum on money coming in to your Virtual Account Number.
Can I close or change my Virtual Account Number?
Contact us directly if you need your account number changed.
Will my Virtual Account Number show on my statement?
Yes. Monthly statements for a spend account with a Virtual Account Number show the last four digits of each account number on it. This applies to statements generated after you receive your Virtual Account Number.
