Learn everything you need to know about using credit/ debit cards within your Fluz App.

This article includes:

Can I connect a bank card to the Fluz App to pay for gift cards?

Yes. You can connect either a credit card or a debit card displaying a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express logo.

Currently, however, Fluz does not accept payments via prepaid cards, PayPal cards, Discover cards, or department store cards.

Note: Once you link your card(s), please allow 24 hours to ensure your card(s) have been registered with Fluz. Otherwise, this may result in a no cash back instance.

I am having trouble linking my card, what should I do?

Make sure you’re on the latest version of Fluz. Click here for information on how to update your Fluz App.

Here are some common reasons you cannot link a card to your Fluz App:

  • Your card is not a debit or a credit one.
The Fluz App does not link to Prepaid Cards, Discover cards, Department Store Cards, gift cards, or PayPal cards.

  • The Zip Code you input was incorrect.
If the app won’t let you add a zip code to a card, Fluz has detected that the zip code entered is incorrect. If you’ve recently moved, try your old zip code. Verify the correct one has been entered and try to link your card again.

  • Your account is under review.
If your account is placed in “Review” status, you can verify your already linked card and upload a government ID. However, you will be unable to add/remove a payment method, make new purchases, and access old ones. Click here to find out what to do if your status is on review.

  • The names do not match.
If the name in your account profile is different from the name on your card, you will be unable to link your card. Please try to update your profile name to reflect the name on your card(s).

    • To update your Profile Name:

      1. Tap on the Menu (your avatar) icon on the top right of your screen.

      2. Tap Edit Profile.

      3. Tap the details you want to change.

      4. Change your name to reflect the name on your card(s).

      5. Tap Update.

Once finished with the profile update, try to link your credit cards again. Make sure to enter the correct CVV and updated ZIP code.

Can I remove or unlink my credit/debit card from the app?

You can unlink your credit/ debit card in four easy steps. Just remember that you need to have at least one active card in order to make purchases and earn cash back. Additionally, once you’ve removed or unlinked a card, you’ll have to go through the linking process again.

Why am I unable to remove my credit/ debit card from the Fluz App?

If the app won’t let you remove your bank card, it means that you may have used it as an ACH backup payment method.

No worries -- you will be able to remove this card from your account 15 days after you used that specific ACH payment method for a purchase.

My purchase shows "PENDING" on my credit card statement, can I still cancel it?

All credit card transactions initially show up as "Pending" in your statement because banks need some time to update their systems. However, as the gift cards are delivered to your app immediately after payment, the transaction is considered final and we are unable to cancel or reverse it.

After a few days, depending on your bank, the transaction will finalize and settle on your statement.

As stated in the app, all gift cards are non-refundable. For certain issues that are merchant-related -- for example, you'd like to refund the products you purchased with a gift card or the merchant canceled your order, you should contact the merchant directly.

Why can’t I add a zip code for my bank card?

If the app won’t let you add a zip code to a card, Fluz has detected that the zip code entered is incorrect. Verify the correct zip code has been entered and try to submit your card details again.

Once you link your card(s), please allow 24 hours to ensure your card(s) have been registered with Fluz. Otherwise, this may result in a no cash back instance.

Why did my card issuer decline my request to link my card to the Fluz app?

It’s possible you accidentally mistyped some of your card information. Please try and add your card again, and double check that you typed your card number, CCV code, and billing zip code correctly.
