How to verify my identity? SSN, ITIN, SSN not accepted, verification for international users

Fluz requires identity verification to comply with federal AML/KYC regulations and to unlock higher spending limits. Below you'll find what's needed, how to complete verification, and what to do if you run into issues.

Why do I need to provide my Social Security Number?

Federal regulation requires us to verify the identity of our users. We may ask for: your legal address, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your SSN/ITIN.

How do I complete Identity Verification?

Completing Identity Verification increases your spending limit. Here's how:

On the Fluz Mobile App: (1) Ensure you're using the latest version. (2) Tap on your Wallet (top left). (3) Scroll right to Deposits. (4) Tap Get Verified. (5) Tap Verify Yourself. (6) Follow the prompts.

On the Fluz Website: (1) Sign into fluz.app. (2) Navigate to Manage Money. (3) Click Verify Yourself next to the "Maximize your experience" banner. (4) Follow the prompts.

I don't have a Social Security Number. Can I use an ITIN instead?

Yes, simply input your ITIN instead of your SSN when prompted. If you run into any issues during verification, please reach out to our Support team.

What if I don't have an SSN/ITIN?

You may still use Fluz as long as you have a US legal address. Follow the same steps above, and when you reach the "Verify your last 4" screen, tap "I don't have my SSN or ITIN" below Continue. Then follow the prompts.

Why can't I verify my legal identity? My SSN was not accepted.

If you're having issues, try the following: (1) Make sure you're entering your full legal name as shown on your driver's license. (2) Enter your permanent address including apartment number, not a temporary address. (3) If you recently moved, try your prior permanent address. (4) Double-check that the last 4 digits of your SSN are correct. (5) Verify all information (date of birth, full legal name, address, SSN) before resubmitting.
