Why do I need to provide my Social Security Number?

Fluz has just released an exciting new payment feature, wherein you are able to earn 1.5% cash back anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Very soon, you will also have the ability to deposit funds into your Fluz account. These features require Fluz to implement new AML/KYC measures as mandated by federal regulation to ensure we know the true identity of our users. As such, we will be asking for the following information.

  • Legal address

  • Date of Birth

  • Last 4 digits of SSN/ITIN

While users who do not provide this information can still use Fluz, certain features will not be available to them.


What if I don't have an SSS/ ITIN or if i'm an international user?

You may still continue to use Fluz and buy digital gift cards however, certain features including but not limited to purchasing Visa Prepaid cards and the ability to deposit funds into your Fluz account will not be available to you.

Can I use the Fluz cash balance feature if I have an ITIN?

Yes, you can use the cash balance feature even if you only have an ITIN.

Why can’t I verify my legal identity? My SSN was not accepted.

If you are having issues verifying your legal identity, here are some things you can try:

  1. Make sure you are entering your full legal name as displayed in your driver’s license.

  2. Make sure you are entering your permanent address including apartment number, and not a temporary address

  3. In case you have recently moved, please try your prior permanent address

  4. Triple check that the last 4 digits of your SSN is correct.

  5. Before you try submitting again, please double check all your information (date of birth, full legal name, address and SSN) are entered correctly.
