Not every merchant treats every card the same way. Some accept one card network more reliably than another, and rewards rates can differ by card type at the same store. Fluz gives you more than one virtual card option, and choosing the right one for where you're spending means fewer declined payments and better rewards. There are two ways to do it.
Why this matters
Fluz virtual cards are issued on a few different card programs. They differ by network and by card type (for example debit or prepaid). When you pay, the merchant, its payment processor and the card network all weigh in on whether the payment goes through. Some merchants take one program more consistently than another. The merchant page shows which options earn the most there, and the default we pick for you is the one that works best at that store.
Option 1: Start from the merchant page
This is the fastest way, and it picks the right card for you.
Go to Stores and open the merchant's page, or search for the merchant.
Scroll to the Virtual card offers. Each offer shows its card network and type with the cashback rate for that store.
Click Create card on the offer you want. The card details are pre-filled to match the offer you selected.
Name the card, set your spend limit and funding source, then click Create card to finish.
Option 2: Choose the network yourself
Use this when you're creating a card from the Cards tab, or when someone has told you which network to use.
Go to the Cards tab and click Create a virtual card.
Set your funding source, spend limit and card nickname.
Scroll down to Advanced and open Card details.
Choose the card network and card type you want.
Click Create card and enter your PIN.
The network and type are set when the card is created and can't be changed afterwards. To use a different network, create a new card.
If you don't see a network option
If Card details shows only one option, your account is using its default card program, and that's the card that will be created. If a merchant has told you it needs a specific network, contact our Customer Experience team and we'll help you get set up.
A card isn't working at a merchant
Your card still works at other merchants, and nothing is wrong with your account. If a payment was declined, or charged and then refunded straight away:
Wait a few minutes before trying again. Repeated attempts in a short time can cause further declines.
Open the merchant page and check which card options it lists.
Create a new card on a different network using either option above, and pay with that one.

No. Create a new card and choose the network you need.
Does the network change my rewards?
Does the network change my rewards?
It can. Rates are set per card option and per merchant. The merchant page lists the rate for each option so you can compare before you create the card.
Why does someone else see options I don't?
Why does someone else see options I don't?
Card options vary by account. If you see a network choice under Card details, your account supports it. If you need an option you don't see, contact our Customer Experience team.
