How to use gift card:

  • Mobile/Desktop:

    1. During payment, scroll down to ‘Pay with an Amtrak Gift Card.’

    2. Enter digital gift card code and PIN. Select ‘Add Gift Card.’

    3. Your total will be deducted by your balance.

  • In-app:

    1. During checkout and payment, look under ‘Have a Gift Card?’

    2. Tap add and enter your digital gift card code and PIN.

    3. Tap ‘Add,’ your total will be deducted by your balance.

  • In-store:

    1. During checkout, show your digital gift card barcode and PIN.

    2. The cashier will scan your barcode and enter the PIN.

    3. Your digital gift card balance will be deducted from the total.

How to check your balance:

  • Mobile/Desktop:

    1. Your current gift card balance will be displayed.

  • In-store:

    1. Present digital gift card to cashier for scanning.

    2. Ask cashier to check its balance.

    3. If scanner issues arise instruct them to enter the code manually.

Abridged terms and conditions:

  • Cards do not expire. No fees for inactivity or service fees apply.

  • Not redeemable for:

    • Amtrak merchandise products (including items sold at the Amtrak Merchandise Store,

    • Amtrak Vacations® Packages; cargo; hotel; rental car; and tickets offered by third-party passenger rail or transit companies, such as MARC, Shore Line East, New Jersey Transit, etc.

  • Locations:

    • Redeemable online, in-app, and at any Amtrak station in the United States.
