What does sharing a Spend Account do?
Sharing a spend account lets other members of your account view or spend from the same pool of funds. Think of a spend account like a shared folder: anyone with access to the spend account also gets access to the Virtual Cards funded by it. When you create a card funded by a shared spend account, everyone with access to that spend account can see it too.
Who can I share a Spend Account with?
Spend Accounts can only be shared with members of your account (authorized users). Unlike Virtual Cards and gift cards, spend accounts cannot be shared with outside guests. If the person you want to share with isn't a member yet, you can invite them by email or phone number during sharing and they'll get access once they accept the invite and join your account.
Access levels
When you share a spend account, you choose what the person can do:
• Can view: View activity and download statements.
• Can spend: Spend from the account and submit edit requests. Spenders can create Virtual Cards funded by the Spend Account, purchase gift cards funded by it, and view full card numbers for Virtual Cards linked to the shared spend account.
• Can supervise: Edit and approve requests.
• Admin: Manage all settings and permissions, including who has access to the spend account.
A member's access to a specific spend account can never be set below their overall role on the account. For example, an account Admin will always have Admin access on every spend account.
How do I share a Spend Account?
Open the Spend Account you want to share.
Select Share (or Manage access).
Search for an existing member, or enter an email address or phone number to invite someone new.
Choose their access level and confirm.
New shares default to "Can view". You can raise the access level at any time.
Changing or removing access
Admins can change a person's access level or remove their access from the Spend Account's access list. Removing someone's access to a Spend Account also removes the visibility they had into cards funded by it (unless those cards were shared with them directly).
Who owns a Spend Account?
Every Spend Account has a single owner. The owner always keeps at least Spender access, and ownership can be transferred to another member. For example, when an owner is removed from the account, their spend accounts can be transferred to another member or deactivated (with any remaining balance moved to another spend account).
