Using Google Pay with your 1-time card is a convenient and secure way to pay for in- store purchases. Once your 1-time card has been added to your Google Wallet, it's simple to make purchases at stores that accept Google Pay as a payment option.

Note: Please ensure that you are on Android version Lollipop (5.0) or higher.

Adding a 1-time Card to Google Pay

  1. First, make sure you are able to make contactless payments via Google Pay by doing the following:

    • Enable Near field communication (NFC).

    • Set Google Pay as your default payment app.

  2. Open the Google Wallet app.

  3. Tap Add to Wallet at the bottom of your screen.

  4. Tap on Credit or debit card.

  5. Tap Enter details manually and input your 1-time card details.

  6. Tap on Save.

  7. Read the Issuer Terms and tap Accept.

  8. You may be asked to verify your payment method. Learn more about Google Pay verification here.

  9. You are now able to pay for in-store purchases! When checking out in a physical store, unlock your phone and hold it close to the payment reader for a few seconds. Once your payment is successful, a blue check mark will appear on the screen.
