Fluz allows you to set a preferred payment method to be used whenever you purchase with the app. This allows for a faster and smoother check-out process.
Read below and learn about your preferred payment method.
What is a preferred payment method?
A preferred payment method is a pre-selected and recommended funding source for your purchases with Fluz. The accepted preferred payment methods are:
ACH or bank account
Debit card
How do I set-up my preferred payment method?
On the App:
1. On your Fluz App, tap the Menu (your avatar) icon at the upper left corner of the app.
2. Tap on Funding Sources
(If you have not connected any funding source, please Add new. We always recommend that you connect your ACH/bank account and debit card to maximize your earnings with Fluz)
3. Set your primary funding source by tapping on the Preferred account option.
4. Select which payment source you’d like to set as your preferred option.
On the Website:
1. On the fluz website, tap the Menu (your avatar) icon at the upper right corner of the page.
2. Tap on Accounts and Cards .
(If you have not connected any funding source, please Add new. We always recommend that you connect your ACH/bank account and debit card to maximize your earnings with Fluz)
3. Select Manage Preferred Account.
4. Choose the account you’d like to set as your preferred one, then select “Set New Preferred Account.”
Can I still change my funding sources even if I have already set my preferred payment method?
Yes. Your preferred funding source will come as your first recommended payment method but you are still able to change your payment method during check-out if you wish to do so.
What happens if I don't set a preferred payment method?
Given that only bank accounts or debit cards are accepted as preferred payment methods, it is possible that you won't be able to set a preferred payment method.
In that case, the app will default to any one of your linked payment methods (credit cards or digital wallets), and you'll still be able to change it each time you make a purchase.
Setting a "nickname" for your payment methods
Fluz allows you to label your funding sources with nicknames to avoid confusion. Follow the steps below on how to add a nickname:
On the App:
1. From the Menu icon on the top left of the screen, navigate to the Funding Sources page.
2. Under Selected Accounts/ Bank cards, select the account or card you want to give a nickname.
3. Tap on Nickname and type on the provided field.
Tip, keep it short and easy to remember.
4. Tap on Done at the bottom of the screen to complete the process.
On the website:
1. From the Menu icon on the top right of the screen, navigate to the Accounts & cards page.
2. On the Accounts and cards page, scroll down to Bank Accounts/Bank Cards.
3. Select the account or Card you want to nickname by tapping on it.
4. Tap on Nickname and type on the provided field.
Tip, keep it short and easy to remember.
5. Tap on Save Changes at the bottom of the screen to complete the process.
The nickname of your funding source will appear on the checkout page every time you purchase a gift card or complete a transaction in the app.
