How to redeem, check balance, terms & help desk.

How to Redeem:

  • Mobile/Desktop:

    1. Log into your account and go to Account Overview.

    2. Enter the gift code and select 'Redeem Code'.

    3. Your gift card balance will be applied to your order total.

  • In-app:

    1. Log into your account. From the Games tab, click 'Redeem a Code' button found under the logo of any game.

    2. From the Shop tab, click 'Services' and then 'Redeem a Code'.

    3. Your gift card balance will be applied to your account wallet.

  • Troubleshooting:

    • Some codes must be activated by the cashier before they work. For example, Blizzard Balance was purchased in a shop.

    • Some codes must be claimed before their expiration date. For example, promotional codes.

    • Item or pet codes are distributed prior to BlizzCon 2009 and all World of Warcraft Trading Card Game item codes must be redeemed through the World of Warcraft Promotion Code Retrieval page.

  1. Cannot claim my Battle.net balance code/Getting error when I try to claim code - "We can’t process this code at this time. Please try again later."

2. Error: "An error has occurred. This code has already been claimed"/Error: "This code has already been claimed! You can only redeem a code once. If you didn’t already claim this code, please make sure you entered it correctly and try again. For more information, please visit our Support Site."

  • Game codes can only be redeemed once. You probably added this code to another Battle.net account. Try to remember the email you used the first time. Contact us if you can't remember the previous email or you can't access the Battle.net account where you claimed the code the first time. Make sure you are entering the code correctly and try again.

3. Error: "You’ve already claimed this code. If your item isn’t showing up in-game, please contact Customer Support"/Error: "Good news! You already own this product"/Error: "Key already redeemed on this account"

  • You can only claim a code in your account once. If you receive this error, it means your code was successfully added to your Blizzard account.

    • If it is a game, check your Games & Subscriptions page to verify you have successfully added it to your account

    • If it is an in-game item, log into the game to verify you received the item.

    Always make sure you are logged in with the correct email or BattleTag.


How to check your balance:

  • Mobile/Desktop:

    1. Log into your Battle.net account and click here.

    2. Your current gift card balance will be displayed.

  • In-app:

    1. Log into your Battle.net account and click on your profile icon on the top left of your screen. Select 'Account Settings' then click 'Account Overview'.

    2. Your current gift card account balance will be displayed.


Abridged terms and conditions:

  • Not redeemable for:

    • transferred to another account

    • combined with another payment method to make a purchase

    • used for World of Warcraft subscriptions (but can be used for Game Time)

    • used in:

      • Blizzard Gear Store

      • PlayStation Store

      • Xbox Marketplace

      • Nintendo Store

      • iTunes

      • Google Play

      • Amazon Appstore

  • Locations:

    • The currency of your Battle.net Balance must be the same as the currency displayed in the Shop to make a purchase. For example, if your Battle.net Balance is in Dollars, you will not be able to use it in the European Battle.net Shop because the European Shop charges in Euro. You can change the Shop region by scrolling down and clicking on the language dropdown.
