How to redeem, check balance, terms & help desk.

How to Redeem:

Note: Redeem gift cards and codes to make Xbox purchases and extend your Microsoft subscriptions (Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, etc.).

  • Mobile/Desktop:

    1. From a web browser or IOS mobile device, go to redeem.microsoft.com.

    2. Sign in to your Microsoft account, enter the 25-character code, then follow the prompts. Don’t worry about hyphens, the system takes care of those for you.

    3. Your gift card balance will be applied to your order total.

  • In-app:

    1. For Android/Windows 10 device, open the Xbox mobile app, then sign in (make sure you’re signed in with the Microsoft account you want to redeem the code with).

    2. Press the 'Menu' button in the upper left corner. Select 'Microsoft Store' from this list, then choose 'Redeem a code'.

    3. Your gift card balance will be applied to your account wallet.

How to check your balance:

Mobile/Desktop:

  1. On the web, to see your Microsoft account balance, sign in to the Payment options page with your Microsoft account.

  2. On Xbox One, you can check your Microsoft account balance on your Xbox One console without going online.

  3. Select System > Settings > Account > Payment & billing. To help protect your account, you may be asked to enter your password.

  4. You’ll see Payment options, where your balance is shown under Microsoft account. If you have several payment options, you may have to scroll right to see it.

  5. Your current gift card account balance will be displayed.

  • Additional subscriptions and requirements apply for some Xbox Live Gold features. See Xbox.com/live. Broadband Internet, games, and media content sold separately. Bonus games offer: for paid Gold members only.

  • On Xbox One, active Gold membership required to play bonus games you redeem. Service, features, and requirements may change or be retired.

  • Subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement at www.microsoft.com/msa. Online multiplayer for free-to-play Xbox games no longer requires a paid subscription. Sign in for your available offers. Promotional offers may not be valid for all members and are only available for a limited time.

  • Locations:

    • You can only use some digital codes in specific regions. Confirm that your account region matches the region where you purchased the digital code.

    • Promotional offers are not valid in Quebec and Russia; other geographic restrictions may apply.
